900 Grave Plots at TPU Rorotan Have Been Used

Jakarta Government through North Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency is preparing 3-hectare land for COVID-19 patients burial ground at Rorotan Public Cemetery (TPU), RW 09, Rorotan Urban Village, Cilincing. This 3-hectare land is predicted to accommodate 7,200 grave plots.
As of today, around 900 grave plots have been used
North Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency Head, Elly Sugestianingsih mentioned, TPU Rorotan is as wide as 25 hectares. Initial plan was to prepare 2-hectare land for COVID-19 patients burial ground. But, during land clearing process, it reaches 3 hectares.

"At first, we only deploy 18 personnel, but due to increase in number of COVID-19 bodies, team who work in the location increases personnel to 30 personnel," he said.
In the near future, her side will tidy up and arrange the tombs in stages along with ongoing construction on several facilities in TPU Rorotan.
